The Event Catalyst! Julie Chen, an artist and MassArt student, is curating a Mom-inspired art show for the week of Mother’s Day. She has graciously volunteered her time and space in her show for us.
Julie will teach us about the history of haiku, give us a brief painting lesson and then we will create inspired works to be displayed in her MOM Art Show May 15 – 18 in MassArt’s Student Life Gallery. The works will also be included in Trauma to Art’s 2011/2012 Yearbook. The yearbook is a compliation of work inspired by grief and ideas for turning grief into creative expression. The book is distributed to schools, hospitals, community centers and churches around the U.S.
