MOM + Haiku Workshop: Preview!

March 22 a great group led by Julie Chen gathered at MassArt for a joint venture between Trauma to Art and the MOM Show. We wrote some haiku, learned about ancient Japanese methods of painting with ink and bamboo.

How to Write a Haiku! This is a short form of poetry that follows a pattern of 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables, with the last line usually forming a cutting juxtaposition to the first and second lines.

Stay tuned for video of everyone reading their haiku and a gallery of each work. You can see the work and meet some of these non-artist artists the week of Mother’s Day when the pieces are on display at MassArt’s Student Life Gallery.
